Our premium New Zealand persimmons are cultivated in the fertile regions of Gisbourne, Bay of Plenty, Waikato, and Northland on the North Island. These areas are renowned for their ideal climate and soil conditions, ensuring our persimmons grow to exceptional quality. Available for both air and sea shipment, our persimmons are carefully handled to maintain their freshness and flavor, making them an excellent choice for discerning markets worldwide.

The fruit is packaged into a 4kg new single-layer tray and vacuum-packed in a long-life MA bag, available in sizes 9, 12, 15, 18, 20, 23, and 25.

Persimmons by air

The product needs to be kept at temperatures between 14-18°C, ensuring optimal storage conditions for freshness. Each AVE contains 250 trays of our persimmons, packed to maintain quality during transport and storage.

Persimmons by Sea

The product needs to be kept at 0°C during transport by sea. In a 20" RF container, we can pack 1610 trays of our persimmons, and a 40" RF container accommodates 3220 trays, ensuring freshness and quality throughout shipment and storage.

Handling

Guidelines for Fresh Persimmons

Bagged: Persimmons should be stored at 0°C. Before opening the bag, it is recommended to allow them to acclimate at temperatures between 15-20°C for 24 hours. When displaying the persimmons, ensure temperatures are maintained above 15°C; refrigeration should be avoided.

Unbagged: Persimmons should be stored at temperatures between 15-20°C and should not be refrigerated to maintain their optimal quality.
